Beef Brisket on the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 місяці тому
This series wouldn't be complete without a brisket cook. I found a nice prime grade brisket weighing in at 17.5 pounds before trimming for this project. I trimmed the brisket rather aggressively and put about 3 pounds of fat in a dutch oven on the smoker to render some smoked beef tallow while this brisket cooked.... here's the recipe for your new favorite beef rub: 1/2 cup coarse kosher or sea...

Do you need an awesome dessert idea to cook on your Lonestar Grillz Pellet Smoker? Look no further than this awesome iron skillet bacon chocolate chip cookie! This thing is PERFECT served in chunks right out of the pan after it has cooled but it's AMAZING if you top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with some chocolate or caramel drizzle on top of that! Here's what you need: 1 cup of brown s...

Roasting or Smoking a chicken is the perfect task for any grill or smoker. In my experience, pellet smokers make the BEST chicken! The Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker knocked this chicken out of the park as you will see in this video! The resulting chicken salad was off the hook! Here's the recipe for the chicken salad: 2 pounds(ish) of cooked chicken 3/4 cup Duke's Mayo 3/4 cup Sour Cream ...
Beef Short Ribs on the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker

This week, I fired up the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker to get some beef ribs in action. Beef ribs are my FAVORITE part of the cow and I LOVE cooking them. These cut short ribs were the perfect size for serving over a bed of my homemade parmesan cheese grits. My beef rub recipe: 1 cup kosher salt ½ cup granulated garlic ½ cup ground black pepper ½ tsp cayenne pepper - optional 2 T ground ...
Pork Brisket on the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker

Pork Brisket is not a particularly common cut of pork, but this one from Porter Road was a great choice to cook on the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet smoker this week. I have never cooked this cut before, but it's the same pectoral muscle from a pig that you get when you buy a beef brisket from a cow. The resulting meat has a beautiful flavor with a texture and flavor somewhere between pork ribs ...

This week, I fired up the Lonestar Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker to make a barbecued pork loin that easily serves eight people at a cost of less than a buck per person. Give this one a try and let me know what you think! #mancavemeals #lonestargrillz #porkloin Links that appear in this video description or content may be my Amaz...
Pulled Beef BBQ on the Lone Star Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker

Pulled beef is a fun and easy project for any smoker. I fired up the Lone Star Grillz 20x42 Pellet Smoker to execute this two stage cook that included 3.5 to 4 hours in the smoke and another 3 to 3.5 hours in the flavorful braise. I made sandwiches with this batch, but this pulled beef is also fantastic served over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, or even a pile of stone ground grits. #lonestar...

Nice video! Thanks for comparing the two and actually showing the ground pepper. I’ve been looking at the pepper cannon for a while but couldn’t justify the price. As for your coffee grinder idea, I have a Breville Smart Pro coffee grinder that I use for coffee. It’s adjustable from very very fine (for espresso) to very coarse (for French press). I haven’t used it for pepper as I’d be afraid that the taste would linger in my coffee. This grinder makes extremely consistent sized grounds for coffee.

Just making a statement. Not bad mouthing the grill. Just stating facts. To costly. That’s all. A lot of tubers seems to get this unit given to them to promote it. Wish is cool.

@@gradymcnutt2247 i was provided with this grill from LSG but it wasnt a give... i agreed to make quite a few videos featuring the grill in exchange for the grill. In the end, i dont know if i won or lost in terms of money and time, but i do know this has become my go to smoker. I prefer it over everything else i have ans have used in the past.

I'm convinced the reasoning behind the none complete closing rear vents (as apposed to a stack) are for legal reasons. No longer can Idiots make a smoke bomb out of the grill by leaving the lid closed during start-ups.

Another great informative video. I'm likin' this grill but I also have the Weber Searwood on my mind. I just sold my Grilla OG and want to replace it with one of these two. There are features on both that I like. Rotisserie anyone? I do like the smokebox but I can add wood chunks by other means to the Weber. A lot to consider before committing to one or the other.

Hey, John! Great video as always. I got the 2 probe Chef IQ last month and so far I really like it. I actually went to the grocery store during a cook and it was cool to never lose connection. My only complaint so far is that after only a couple of cooks the numbers on the probes are almost gone. I can figure it out by just turning both on and holding one in my hand to get a temperature difference. One thing I haven't tried yet is using them on the JoeTisserie - kinda nervous that the probe will fall out during the cook, but I'll give it a try and see what happens.
